Yin, the feminine principle: dark, passive, receptive, reflective, withdrawn, cool, introspective. Yin yoga was developed to penetrate deep into connective tissue expanding flexibility and aiding healing while stimulating the nadis or meridians to loosen energetic blockages and increase energy flow.
Yang, the masculine principle: light, active, outward and upward moving, hot, extrospective. Yang yoga is the more traditional bikram or ashtanga vinyasa based yoga practice that develops muscular strength, stamina, and flexibility.
Join us for a 2-hr special class with Jimmy that combine the two aspects of yoga. We will begin with an uplifting Vinyasa practice the first half of the class to energize which evolves into a deep, introspective and quiet yoga that sets you to experience calmness and bliss. Class is beginner oriented and students of all levels of capacity are welcomed.
